ABOUT US
Uplands Cottages occupies a secluded position in the Mendips Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by unspoilt countryside. A long, tree lined drive preserves a rare tranquillity in our thirty six acres of mature landscaped grounds and fields. Woodland forms the backdrop and shelters abundant wildlife.
Situated one mile from the delightful village of Winscombe, there is easy access to amenities such as a bakery, fish & chip shop, public house, post office, and more.
Garden
Each cottage has a private garden area, as well as access to our landscaped grounds.
Pool
Our shared, outdoor, heated swimming pool is open from the beginning of May until September.
Games
Our games room is available to guests and includes pool, cards, darts and more!
Free Wifi
Each cottage has access to our Wifi. Credentials provided at check-in.
Towels
Towels and linen are provided in each property.
Family Friendly

Strawberry Line
Stretching from Yatton to Cheddar, this repurposed railway line passes through nearby village Winscombe and provides a great route for guests looking to explore the area.
Cheddar Gorge & Caves
Home of the well known cheese, Cheddar lies at the foot of the spectacular Gorge in the Mendip Hills. The famous Goughs Cave and Cox's Cave are the highlight of any visit.

Mendip Activity Centre
Our local activity centre provides ski and snowboard sessions, lessons, tobogganing, archery, caving, and much more!

What can I say apart from perfect? Accommodation was warm, well equipped. For a summer break there is a wonderful swimming pool and games room. Will go back that's for certain.
